Congratulations to this weeks Dance Alive! Dance Studios Featured Dancer of The Week Aniyah Dozier!
Aniyah pays spectacular attention to the teachers corrections in all of her classes. Aniyah also is always answering questions and always respectful. She will even remind her teachers of things we have said and help assist with her fellow dancers of choreography and corrections that have previously been given.
We asked Aniyah some questions about dancing at Dance Alive!
What do you love about dance?
I love performing in the recital showcase. I love so. Many different styles of dance like ballet, hip hop, and jazz, but my favorites are lyrical and acro.
What is your favorite thing to do in dance class?
I like learning new things no being with my friends I have made through dance!
Is there anything special or that you love about your teachers?
They are nice and help me learn new things and get better at dancing. They make me happy!

How has dance influenced her?
Dance has encouraged her to come out of her shell and she has gained so much confidence in not only dance but in many aspects of her. Life. She has made several friends in dance. It has also taught her skills that she can use in her daily life, such as increasing focus and working together with others. She has also used Dane as a creative outlet and loves creating new routines at home for her and her sister!
How have the teachers (students, faculty, etc.) at Dance Alive! inspired her in her daily life?
It is very obvious that the teachers have a huge drive to see these kids be successful. It is so touching to see how proud they are of their students as they learn new things, perfect other skills, and with their performances at the recital. I have witnessed so much encouragement in the studio from the staff, not only with dance skills but also building the students up in other aspects of their lives and showing they truly care about each student. You can really see how much they enjoy what they do and how much they believe in these kids.
We can really see the hard work that Aniyah has been putting into dance class this year, specifically her hip hop technique is sinking in and shining bright!
