Beautiful Beginnings at Dance Alive! Dance Studio in the Petite Academy division – A perfect balance of structure and fun!
Dance classes for the youngest of dancers should be a joyful experience! Children need to enjoy the process of learning dance in fun classes, with nurturing instructors that encourage children while developing a love and appreciation for the art of dance that will last a lifetime!
The “Petite Academy” at Dance Alive! Dance Studio has the perfect balance of Structure, Creativity, & Technique intertwined with FUN to promote learning, nurture creativity, and encourage individual development.
Classes are taught in a fun environment which encourages dancers to learn the art of movement through exploration and self-expression using themes, music, & movement children can relate to.
Dance class at Dance Alive! provides a positive environment in which children can learn and grow. Our curriculum is specially designed for our youngest dancers, builds the dancer’s self-confidence, an understanding and appreciation for music, and a love for movement and dance. Our well-balanced dance classes address the “whole child.”
Classes
Dance With Me (ages 12 months to 3 years)
Parent/Caregiver and Child participate in a creative movement class focusing on gross motor skills, tactile development and expanding the imagination!
“Twinkle Babies” Pre-Ballet (ages 2.5 to 3.5 years)
This class focuses on learning the fundamentals of dance (rhythm, coordination, basic techniques) and intertwines it with creative movement! The perfect balance of structure and fun for our youngest dancers! This is an independent instructor/dancer class.
Tumbling
Students will learn basic tumbling skills such as forward rolls, handstands, and more. This is an entry level class for students with no prior tumbling experience.
Ballet
Basic ballet and/or tap skills, terminology, rhythm, and coordination are taught, practiced, and developed through creative movement, music. Our pre-ballet and/or pre-ballet/tap classes also develop concentration and learning how to follow instructions. Ballet shoes and Tap shoes required.
Tap
Make some noise! Tap teaches rhythm and coordination with sound, and kids will learn basic tap terminology and choreography.
Hippity Hop
Our Hip Hop for tots uses clean and age appropriate music/movement! Jazz shoes are OK to wear in class, but Hip Hop dance sneakers are required for recitals.
Jazz
Full of rhythm, jazz dance brings energy and life to dance. Explore body isolations of the head, shoulders, rib cage, feet and arms, which encouraging individual expression and personal style.
Acrobatics
Acrobatics is the blending of dance movement, contortion, and tumbling with an emphasis towards increased flexibility, balance, strength, muscle control, discipline and concentration.

Acrobatics
Acrobatics is the blending of dance movement, contortion, and tumbling with an emphasis towards increased flexibility, balance, strength, muscle control, discipline and concentration. In this class, students perform conditioning exercises to prepare them for increased difficulty.
